I am passionate about helping adults work through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. No matter what our path will be, my intention is to help you get clarity on what is causing your problems, feel safe and empowered, and make powerful changes in your life.
As someone who has learned to overcome and thrive in spite of mental and physical health issues since I was a teenager, I’ve learned from a wide range of therapists, teachers, and types of treatment. From my experience, I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and empowered every step of the way.
I believe our struggles should be considered in context — including our upbringing, relationships, identity, and the systems we live within. As a white cisgender male with privileged identities, I prioritize multi-cultural competence and creating a space where you feel fully comfortable being your whole self.
My style as a therapist is eclectic, meaning that I tailor my approach to your unique challenges and goals. I have particular expertise relating to healing from trauma, alleviating anxiety and depression, expressing your authenticity and unique voice, working through shame, improving communication, and navigating challenges of masculinity. I also offer body-based (i.e., somatic) and expressive arts practices (e.g., art therapy, music therapy, movement therapy) if that feels supportive.
I would be honored to support you on your therapeutic journey. If you’re considering exploring therapy with me, I invite you to reach out with any questions or we can schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. If you decide to reach out, I look forward to hearing from you!
